Mhoo Ping (Grilled Pork)

Mhoo Ping (Grilled Pork)

Mhoo Ping (Grilled Pork) – The pro-democracy protesters in Bangkok have resorted to flash mob protesting. Releasing the place for the protest shortly before the protest is to take place as to surprise the police. Everyone are on alert, waiting for the ping on their phone to see where to run to next.

Hurriedly, rebellious and with that tinge of excitement the protesters run to the previously secret protest location which was released 10 min ago. There they are met with the smell of charcoal and grease; there they are met by the street food vendors.

Earning the nickname “CIA” by the protesters, the food carts have earned a reputation of being quicker than the police. Food Will Win the War and vendors will win the profits!

Our favorite street food is a classic that is sure to make a hungry protester happy! Mhoo Ping, grilled pork. A sweet marinade that is delicious combined with a convenient way to eat (either on skewers or with sticky rice) makes this a go to for anyone in a hurry, a hurry to see Thailand become a real democracy. Try this recipe at home for an amazing dinner with friends or for a quick lunch the day after it’s cooked!
